Stern tube size

I am looking at installing a PYI shaft seal and one of the demensions needed is the stern tube size for a Hunter 28.5. I know the shaft size is 1 inch but it is a two hour drive to the boat. Can anybody help me out with this dimension? Thanks.

At least 2 sizes

There are at least 2. I found this out when I ordered the new $80 packing box from Hunter. There's a few inches of hose material that comes off the aft side of the bronze compression fittings that fits over the "shaft mouth on the hull side. I don't remember the sizes (2.25" or so) but I got the wrong diameter unfortunately, Hunter took back the fitting. Maybe you should talk to Hunter and find out how many sizes are possibilities. Stern Tube 28.5

Eric, you'll want the PSS 01-100-112, 1" shaft and 1 1/2" Log. Thats what I installed on my 87'.
