We have a 1994 Legend 35.5. Our stern shower leaks when our water pressure is turned on. Water comes out the shower head. We have replaced the shower head, but problem still exists. It appears that we may need to fix or replace the entire shower unit (including the faucet controls) as water should not be getting to the shower head when the faucet knobs are in the shut position. If you have had this problem, where you able to fix the problem? Where do you go to find an entire replacement shower unit?

Had the problem

Unfortunately, I had to replace the whole thing. After replacing then adding an extra washer, it just started leaking in back. If you take that unit out you'll see that it's rather cheaply made. The material weakens and pinholes develop (at least on mine) I played "follow the leak" untill the back of the unit was one big blob of repairs. You MIGHT get away with an in line shut off on the hose, but the shower head probably won't seat right after that, and I'll bet it leaks in a different spot after a week (always the optimist). I did an internet search and bought a new Attwood unit (check the dimensions for fit). I don't remember the address, but I'll bet it was attwood.com - about $100 - and when you get it you'll ask; "$100 for this?!", but it works. Hope someone has a better idea- Good luck.
