Stern Seat on Hunter 320

The hinges on my drop-down stern seat/boarding platform on my 2001 Hunter 320 have come loose. I think I need to re-bed the screws on at least one of the two hinges. Due to the weight of the seat, they are under quite a bit of stress. Has anyone had experience rebedding fasteners? I've read I need to bore out the original screw-hole, add new epoxy, and re-drill a pilot hole for the screw. I'm afraid, however, that the new epoxy will not bond to the existing fibreglass?

Will work

My H320 had the same problem but not as bad. My layers of fiberglass were coming delaminated and I fixed it by super-gluing between the layers and clamping until set. Epoxy should grab well, I wouldn't worry. I have been using Bondo to fill all the stripped out holes (like the top of the steering console) and re-drilling the holes. I will probably have to replace my helm-seat hinges, the hinge pins were working loose. Held those in for now with Loctite. Gary
