We have just installed a Sterling Pro Charge Ultra 12V 40Amp and we can't find anything in the programming instructions that is relevant to our situation.
We operate our genset 2 hours a day, 1 hour in the morning and 1 in the evening. Can anybody suggest how we should program so we will the get the most out of this unit on two hours of AC per day? We are charging two banks (engine 1 4-D, house 2 4-Ds) of wet lead/acid batteries.

I have the same charger, you need to set it up for lead acid batteries and that's it . There's nothing more you can do it's automatic and sends in the right amount of amps. Did you install the battery temp sensor , this will most likely increase the amps, if its not hooked up it uses lower settings.
Oh just realized you have 3 x 4d batteries ,you should have most likely bought the 60amp charger. I have 2x 4d and a small starting battery but all are glass matt

We also have an 80 amp charger, solar and wind, so I think the 40 should be OK for day to day use.
Thanks for the info.
