I am preparing to install a stereo on the ceilin of our H270 and found a blue plastic tube just inside one of the inspection plates near the top of the compression post. I'm interested in finding out if anyone knows where this tube goes. I can see that there is a cord running through it for pulling a wire or rope through, but cannot seem to locate the other end.

is where the other end comes out. The tube holds the wiring for the cabin lights near the compression post and for the forward berth. The wires connect to the electrical panel behind the galley. If you unscrew your electrical panel you may see the string there, or you may have to reach in and up to feel for it. When I installed my instruments I did a lot of exploring in that area, and that's how I found out where the other end is.

Mike, You were right...we found the string after fishing around behind the stantion inspection plate above the galley. We were able to fit several wires through the conduit. Thanks.
When you pull new wires...
Be sure to pull another "pull string" in with the wires. I can guarantee you will be there again to string wires.
