Well, minor upgrade anyway.
Whenever I open the engine cover on my 309, I like to completely remove the steps. Both the upper and lower sections.
Invariably, whenever I completely remove the engine cover, I'll end up having to go up on deck, and removing the steps makes this possible.
The only downside of removing the upper section is fiddling with the pins and clips that secure it.
Today, I finally got around to replacing the pins with stainless steel bolts with wingnuts. Much easier.
