i've bought a catalina 22 ('82) and i'd like the proper procedure for rigging down the running rigging to haul her out on a trailer. i'll be sailing alone for a while so i want to make sure i know how to accomplish the feat single-handed. any help/direction is appreciated. yes, i'm a novice but hopefully not for long. also, i need to find a good compass for my vessel. it doesn't have one and i'd like to mount one on the starboard cabing bulkhead but the bulkhead is slanted (not perpendicular to the cockpit deck). any help/direction here also greatly appreciated. thanx.

compass

Many boats use a wood block (teak) to mount the compass to then angle the block to fit the bulkhead. My old catalina 27 was that way.

Mast Raiser

I developed a mast raiser device so that I could easily step and unstep my Capri 18's mast singlehanded. Here's the link to the article I wrote on the raiser http://www.swafo.com/kennethrong1/articles/mast_raiser.htm
