I'm looking for a source for a stemhead fitting for my new to me 25. Seems the bow rail was stressed and the weld that held the bow rail mounting piece broke while one other base broke and the third pulled out of the deck (with a bit of the deck attached). I'd like to say I know how this happened, but the boat has been on the hard since at least 1999 and was sold as an abandonded vessel by the marina. Adding in the other damage to the hull, I believe she was pushed up on another vessel during a storm and or rolled into a dock on her port side.

Probably will have to have fabricated

I don't believe you will find any source for parts like this on our older 25 Hunters. We have several custom stainless steel fabricators in our area and I have had great work done on several boats. Just ask around boat yards and you will fine someone in the area that can fabricate stainless steel boat parts. You may need pictures of the original which an owner of the same year could provide. Mine is a 1981 so not sure if it is the same stem fitting.

Thought so

Kind of what I figured. Thought I'd ask here first just in case I was wrong. I have the original and it is not too disfigured except for the broken weld and what appears to be surface rust where the stub that fit into the stanchion used to be. I'm sure a local craftstman will be able to fabricate a new one based on what I have. I have to take the bow rail in to have new bases put on it, so I guess that's just another thing to take on that trip.
