I have never seen a basking shark. That must have been amazing.

We passed them at the east end of the canal. What we saw was the snout out of the water for a long period then the body would arch slightly before it went under. It looked longer than 20 feet, but it was about 500 feet away. It came to the surface three times so we got a good look at it. We never had seen that many whales, made our day.
