Sounds good with the foam but I don't have vinyle on my wheel
from Hunter factory and it's like softer covering and all these year needs good cleaning for sure.

Don't have the patience but I love the result. I could send you my wheel, you would have all winter. How much? 
When my daughter was 11 or 12, we spent a couple of winter evenings applying "french hitching" to our wheel. Ended it all with a turk's head knot tied on the king spoke. Looks shippy and works well at minimal cost. After 10 years its a bit dirty but will probably last another 10 years. Unless I decide it needs replacement for aesthetic reasons...

This is marine vinyl and if is good for seats 10-12 years I'm ok with this.I didn't have time to respond on this before so I'm sorry to all.
Preparing new sistem for lazy jack and main sail cover working on this last months and dodger with bimini.Hope to make something different of systems for packing main that I sow.Need to make something for me before summer.Also I want to make new cushions interior and exterior with back support where is available in cockpit with same color and to match colors with canvas.

Yes I was thinking to paint binnacle because I hate that green. That is someone who have only few cans of green and he paint all wood inside and ports and floor and everything. I have huge project before to change all that again in nice looking wood. Now is cherry and I'm happy. New project is to finish few left over green things and deck paint.But before I will build table for cockpit . I couldn't remove binnacle screws are lock and only cutting with small grinder is possible.
