Nice video. 35 years on two-wheelers and lots of drive chain maintenance. In the early days we stripped the chain, cleaned it in kerosene and dipped into a can of melted axle grease. Like Chris P. describes. Hang the chain, let it cool and wipe it down with a clean rag. Reassemble. In later days with o-ring chain there was much less work. I particularly like the spray chain lubes like Bel-Ray that go on liquid, penetrate, provide a cleaning action and then set up to a white-lithium coating that prevents corrosion. That is what I use now, a spray motorcycle chain lube. And my steering chain / cable system is much easier to access and maintain than the Edson system. Cables get the Boeing P-9, great corrosion protective spray lube.
