the cable is aircraft grade as long as you don't say it's for a boat its $$$$$$$$$$$ less the chain can be reused.

I replaced the cable on my C36 years ago. I went to West Marine in New Bedford (Pope's Island, no longer there) and bought the cable and the wire-rope crimp fittings. They had the crimp tool there for customers to use. Did both ends, one for chain, one for eye bolt. Got large heat shrink to cover the fittings and ends. Cost me about $20 as I recall.
