I tried to raise my Genoa on my Stearns roller furling, and it gets stuck about 10 feet up. From there up, it is almost impossible as the Delrin sleeves are wore out and need to be replaced. One company wants $139 for the part. All it is is a 1 1/4 delrin rod, cut lengthwise in half. Then the inside is machined so the sail holder (not sure what it's called) can fit inside of it. I found delrin tube for $8 bucks and will make my own. Are these people nuts? Think of all the stuff you can buy with the rest of the money (about $130) A good bottle of single malt scotch 10 18-packs of most any beer a new vhf radio a depthfinder All of these require something more than a hunk of plastic.

thanks

Rig Rite wanted $140 for the part. I made it for $14. And I made 10 2" sheaves for $1.40 each (they sell for $3.50 or so.)
