I like the solution to a problem. It is a skill that is needed as you sail to more remote ports.
I looked at the "Skipping Stone" site. Your the skipper and crew for the charter?
A skill that seems to be dying in the modern world. I couldn't even find the spark plugs on my Dad's Lexus. No extra space under that hood for even a pack of smokes!
Yep, we are the charter crew of Skipping Stone, though it might be difficult to believe this month.

Naw. Trinidad is pretty far off the general tropical storm path. One of the radiating bands from Irma passed over but we didn't even get a drop of rain.
Trinidad is an incredible place. We just shipped in a diesel engine and paid around us$6.00 for the customs clearance (only us $149.00 for freight from Mia) and zero duty. Very inexpensive food, transportation and parts, at least compared to the other Islands. It's pretty modern, with excellent workers in the yards, but there just is not a good anchorage. So it's either a marina or a haul out.
If someone wanted to cash in, all this place needs is a nice breakwater to house several hundred reasonably priced moorings and the shore support for cruisers. It would be full to overflowing every hurricane season.
