Charlie, you stated "this boat sails best in winds up to 15 knots with a 150% genoa, up to 25 knots with a 135% genoa. based on sailing to windward and she will do 6.3 knots . on a reach in these winds she will do over 7 knots' she also have the capability to serf or plane well over 7 7.4 knots in optimum conditions."

I am days away from buying a '86 30+ and am very excited. In the wind conditions and headsail sizes you mentioned above, do you carry a reef in the main or full main? I am wondering how much wind the 30+ can handle with how much sail. I prefer the rail to be in the water, yet still in control!

Thanks,
Peter S
