Starter motor woes

For all who replied regarding starter motor electrical issues, I would like to recommend a book that features step by step easy to understand instruction for this particular issue and many others:

The 12 Volt Doctor's Practical Handbook for the Boats Electrical System by E Beyn.

A valuable easy to follow reference even without much electrical knowledge; can go straight to the chapter and follow easily. I believe my copy came from Weems and Plath

IIRC, I've seen that floating around on the internet. scribd might have it. I'd Google for it.
