Hi Antonio, Not sure of the difference between the A and the B model. Pretty sure mine is the A model. I definitely have a dynastarter attached. Where are you located regarding shipping and has the starter been rebuilt or checked for bearing wear , or heat during operation? Not concerned about charging part as I have a the optional alternator. Look forward to hearing from you, Thanks. Pat

Hi All

The MD6B usually has the starter motor fitted with a toothed flywheel
instead of the Dynastart that is driven by one or two belts MD6A.

Cheers

Thanks for that info Steve, very helpful! Will be needing to buy a seal Kit for the combi prop soon, as I believe gears are now completely disconnected. Also trying to find out price on stainless hardware for tiller, and shaft/ tube prices for combi prop. Cheers and thanks for tech help. Pat V 2137

Hi Pat.

The answers to your questions,

1. I'm in upstate NY. Postal code 12992 (near Plattsburgh)
2. I cannot answer with any certainty any of the questions concerning
the dynastart.
It appears to be original. I have not checked for bearing wear
or for heating.
It has been functioning well and works as well as the unit that
is in my Vega.
It was used on a Marstal gas engine and turned that it over
without fail every time. ( That engine was retired because of worn
valves)
It has presently parted company with the motor it was previously
associated with, but I've tested it with a battery and it works as it
should. ( This is one of three dynastarts that I've got. #3 is
sitting in the basement and is a candidate for a rebuild as It's real
real gone)
3. If you want to go further, contact me off group and I can arrange
to speak on the phone.

Warmest Regards
