oday 26 bulkhead
I am currently doing the same to my 26. We got carried away though. Ours is now fully gutted, and new hull liner is due in tomorrow. We have teak parts in various stages of cleaning and refinishing. Taking the starboard bulkhead out is fairly easy, the sink cabinet in the head has to come out, and the trim board at the base of the cabinet also has to come out. The hull liner fabric needs to be carefully peeled back. It was suggested to me to cut the fiberglass tabing with a very sharp wood chisel, and that worked very well. I have the new plywood, but have yet to fabricate the new bulkheads, but I forsee no problem doing so. I expect to have all parts ready to go when the weather gets warm enough to use contact cement, and fiberglass.I guess the short answer would be, if you are comfortable doing woodworking, and know how to use fiberglass, it isn't that bad a job.
