I am in need of some replacement standing rigging, particularly the forestay, on my 272. Does anyone have recommendations for good sources of rigging, by mail, for someone landlocked here in the middle of the country? Thanks!

Call Rudy - DR Marine

It's the usual answer for this, and in this case it's probably the best answer. When I needed new standing rigging for my O'Day 25, I spoke to the local boat repair guy to give him a shot, and he said the price quoted to me by Rudy was probably wrong. He (the local guy) couldn't buy the rope and turnbuckles for that price, let alone make a profit. I ordered them from Rudy, and the price was correct. They fit perfect. I DID order the full kit - and I suspect that ordering individual stays or shrouds would be more expensive per piece. On the other hand, I've heard that when one is ready to be replaced, they probably all need replacing. The URL is www.drmarine.com, but use that to get a price, and the number to call him. He works better via phone.

Thanks!

Thanks Herb! Have seen DR and Rudy mentioned highly in other posts, so I'll give him a call.
