standing rigging

hi i just took down my mast to replace rigging and i found something i do not like , the spreader has a 9/16 pin as the eyes of the link plates but the eyes of the 3/8 wire terminals is 5/8 and i dont thik this is correct there are no terminal for this wire size with 9/16 eye diameter anybody had this problem and solve it ?
i am tninking about using and adapter.

I deal with the smaller hunter sailboats but there are a few things to know.

First it would be great to identify your boat when starting a thread.
Secondly, if you scroll down to boat information, go to hunter resources/460, there you will find a treasure trove of information to include owners manual, etc.
Third, the forum sales store has a complete build list of parts for your boat as the owner of this website is a former Hunter employee.
Fourth, there is a help desk that you can go to with questions that can be answered by former Hunter employees who built your sailboat which there may be a charge.
Finally , you may have a Selden mast and they are located in Charleston SC.
