Standing Rigging Tensions

Can anyone tell me the values of tensions for the various stays, shrouds, etc on a 1992 Prout Event 34? Does anyone know of a book, manual, etc that would have this info?We had to release the backstays to get her onto an older travel lift and we'll be retensioning when we launch in the spring. We'd like to reset the whole rig at that time.Thanks, DonB

Brion Toss, A well known rigger has a book,

"The Complete Riggers Aprentice" which is pretty the much current standard reference. I also have a DVD he made titled "Tuning Your Rig" that is very good and goes over most common rigs found. You can get the DVD at website attached, or Amazon.

Shroud diameter

The tension on your shrouds is generally between 10% and 20% of their maximum strength. Buy yourself a Loos Gauge and you can tune your rigging yourself. The gauge comes with a shroud tension chart as well as instructions. Plenty of postings in the archives on this site with instructions as well.
