Does anyone know if transducers are available for Standard Horizon, Wind speed and depth instruments. A buddy of mine has some older Standard Horizon instruments on his boat, the displays work, but the readings are way off. The depth shows 9.2 ft all the time, the wind shows a different direction than it is blowing, 90+ degrees off even when anchored. and speed doesn't register anything even when turning the paddle using compressed air. Are they shot or are transducers available? I've been to the Standard Horizon web site and can only find new instruments. I've also looked in defender and can't seem to find anything. Can anyone help?

S/H is out of the instrument business for about 3 years. Ducers are all gone from WM, I bet there still get-able on the net

Try Navman

IIRC the Standard Horizon / West Marine instruments were built by Navman. Chances are that Navman transducers will work.

older standard horizon instruments

If your instruments are numbered WS1 or DS1 etc. there are no replacement parts available. Those instruments were produced when Standard Horizon was a UK owned company. The company was sold to a U.S. firm and produced the identical looking 45 series. Tranducers and parts for the 45 series are not compatible with the old series 1 instruments. I was able to find a company in so cal that still had a supply of series 45 parts but for the life or me I can't remember the name. The tech said that the wiring is completely different and that part supplies ran out around 1995. Call Standard Horizon customer service, they might point you in the right direction. So the answer is... series 1 ... no way (but let me know if you do find any) Series 45... possibly.

the company and ship the units to them. I did this last winter with my depth, speed and wind and they checked them out, calibrated them and shipped them back.
