Seems my Horizon WS100 Wind/Speed instrument has given up.
Occasionally, it would freeze up after a long operating period. A power down would clear the freeze.
Now, the wind direction is giving false readings, by almost 180 degrees and the wind speed is zero. Manual provides a reset procedure which did not work. Also says check the green wire which seems to be OK. I can see the instruments moving at the masthead.
I already replaced the SH depth instrument with a Raymarine drop in replacement. Can I drop in a replacement Ray ST wind instrument? Not keen on running new wire up the mast. I do want to keep the form of the SH which the Ray ST series does.
