In trying to contact Standard Horizon about returning my radio for repair, I discovered that they may be closed/closing. It's now February and the main facility in California and the repair facility in Utah both have recorded messages about being closed for the holidays to reopen in January. Anyone having this same problem? Is there a repair facility somewhere else? I can send communications, but my receipt of communications is only static. I can tell someone is reponding yet hear no words. Upon requesting a bridge opening, the attendant sent a boat to tell me the time when I explained my radio problem. Any suggestions? The radio is only 1-1/2 yr old and I have the Ram mic. Both the Ram mic and the main unit are experiencing this problem.

Warranty?
Unless its still under warranty, forget it. Check around the chandleries for bargain replacement. Chances are your ram mic is OK. At $150 it just isn't worth the hassle to save a few bucks. Local shops won't even look at it for less than $70. Jon McClain
