I have an old dead DS 10 on my boat. I have limited access to the back. How does one get this gauge out of consol?

Corky...Welcome to the forum....But we need your help.
Console ?? Is the console on a pedestal ? What type of Console? Or do you mean bulkhead? Power ? Sail? Small Boat? Big Boat?
We all would like to help you but we need to see some pictures.
You need a long, or offset screwdriver to access the mounting ring screws around the rim of the gauge... then it pulls out from the front. If it's mounted on the bulkhead there may be a cover on the inside of the cabin that you can remove for access.... last resort is to drill another access hole.
