I want to pull a few stanchions from my 30 O' day an 83. Are they bolted thru or just wood screws. I can't see any way of accessing them underneath. There is a 34 in the yard, his look the same. Anyone out there ever serviced them? Thank you, Colin

On my 1985 31 they are bolted through and a bear to get to. I assume they are the same as the 30. On the couple I have done I had to cut out a section of the fiberglass liner to get to the nuts. I want to do them all but that's why I haven't. Bad excuse.

They are awful on the 37 as well. I think they must have been installed before all the interior work was completed. Lots of patience. One at a time. I started on the bow pulpit. We have some soft core to replace up there so thinking of cutting out the anchor locker, we had plans to modify it anyways, to get at the undersides of deck..
