Stanchion repair

I want to re-bed a few stanchions on my 1992 Catalina 30. The nuts on the bottom of the stanchion seem very difficult to get to - can't get a wrench around it because of the way the wood panel is installed up against it. Any suggestions?

Remove the liner/hull wood trim. It is not difficult.

Are you sure you need to re-bed the stanchions?
