One of my stanchions for the lifeline broke off at the base (when I had a tarp covering the boat)- any ideas on how to repair or replace?? Thanks Franz

O'Day used schaffer (sp). Most of the bases were custom made. Schaffer continues to make the same shape base ( shape that is on the deck ) but it is now a reinforced base and a stanchion post that fits into it. The base is a #36-01. It fits most of the pre 84 boats. The post for it varies. It varies in height, and # of life lines a single or a double lifeline. I hope that helps. If it doesn't ask again. r.w.landau

He still has a lot of O'Day gear in his barn loft. He may have one. He's located in Assonet Ma. and runs D & R Marine. I'll give you his site. He wasn't keeping up with his emails previously, but I did get an email from him around New Years, and I know that he has some new PCs for his office. Try giving him a call first. Then maybe you can email him a Jpeg of the stanchion along with some height dimensions. It's worth a shot. Joe
