Stanchion Question hunter 28.5

I must replace one of the Stanchion on my 87 hunter 28.5. While I have been able to remove the stanchion, I am not sure of how to remove the piece that is tied to the deck. My problem is I can't determine if it is screwed of bolted to the deck. I have tried to unscrew but it its stuck fast. Any one know how to get this removed and is it bolted or screwed?

most likely there's a nut on the underside. They are usually a pain to get at, and sometimes it takes two people to get the nut off the bolt. Look around up by the edges of headliner and you should find it.
