Have a 2003 326. Getting ready to dry dock for winter and want to get some maintenance out of the way. Stanchions still look good for 7 year old boat and do not see any water leakage. My question is, is their any good time frame when stanchions should be removed and rebed. Same with hand rails, do not appear to be in bad shape, but do not want problems in the future.

Do nothing but observe

This is a classic case of leave well enough alone. I hit a Coast Guard cutter last year (long stupid story), and it tore out a stanchion on my H320. It's taken an entire year to rebed the new one, and I'm still not satisfied.

You can't possible access underneath to properly fit a bolt to a machine screw, so your best hope is the right size of wood screw.

Something as innocuous as undoing a perfectly good bolt could create an unintended problem if it doesn't want to refit properly. Find another project, say rewiring the mastlight.
