I recently purchased a 1989 Vision in above average condition Last weekend while backing out of my slip I tangled with boat next to me and I pulled on of the stanchion bases loose at one screw point The screw needless to say ripped the threads out of the aluminum anchor plate I was told by Hunter to put in a bigger screw or a longer screw through the plate a secure with a washer and nut. I must be blind because I cannot find where the plate is. the deck and the hull ceiling fiberglass liner seem to meet at a the point where I cannot even get my hand in between to find the aluminum plate I would really appreciate any guidence on this matter Ed

Keep It Simple
I'd opt to tap a larger machine screw instead of trying to do one through the plate. Altho it's been years since I had one, I do recall access would have been difficult to try to put in a backer plate for a through deck mount. Good luck. RD
