Stamford, CT Provisioning

I will be delivering my boat to Stamford, CT in a couple of weeks where a new crew will come aboard to continue on to Annapolis. Our rough plan is to arrive in Stamford, CT on Friday afternoon the 21st.

Can anyone in the area recommend a good place to provision the boat? We are looking for high quality delis/food stores. A Whole Foods market would be great but I do not think there is one in Stamford.

We will be over nighting at Brewer's.

Tim, the question is what ground transportation will you have, like the last post about getting to the train station. Since the new crew is "somehow" getting to the boat, couldn't they pick up what you need? I had friends who lived in Stamford for over 35 years and they always found somewhere to shop for food. Or is it just that you're looking for a good deli instead of a greasy spoon?

Thanks Stu. I assume that either the new crew will have transportation or worse case we will hire a taxi.

Good deli/grocery store would be good.
