Hi Gang! How do I get blood stains out of my 216 mainsail? Wait! No need to contact authorities, they're from a previous cut that opened, not mayhem, mutiny, or murder. Tried all kinds of stuff. No luck. Jacktar.

You can try this...

Try peroxide and cream of tarter: make a light paste then rinse. Also try peroxide and borax, these won't hurt your sails. Good luck.

Enzymes

There is a product at the grocery store that removes blood from clothes (it claims its safe on all fabrics). Anyhow, enzymes eat blood like Americans eat the Atkins diet plan. I've used it on clothes that I thought were ruined and it was unbelievable. The name of the product I is Carbona, Stain Devils for blood and milk (small yellow bottle). Good stuff.
