Need advice on a neglect hull. The hull in question is over 20 years old and in several places it is badly stained. By stained I mean that after compounding and trying FSR the stains defy my efforts. In addition I compounded the port side of the hull twice with limited results yes it looks better but the compounding looks uneven and still the stains persist. Is there any chemical agent/compound that anyone knows about specifically designed for VERY tough stains and /or uneven compounding?I don't want to polish or wax without removing the stains as it will be that much harder to try again next season.I am using a random orbit buffer (I don't know how much gel coat is left so I don't want to use a professional buffer/grinder or drill attachment for fear of burning through the gel coat.Any Ideas?
