A long time ago someone posted a recipe to match the stain on these boats. I think it was a mix of gun stock and mahogany stains. I can’t find it in here. I’ve seen the recent posts about using Cabot. Would anyone still have that old recipe. It was a bang on match for what’s in the Cherubinis.

Cabot Australian Timber Oil 'Mahogany Flame' was what I recall was recommended and it was pretty darn close. I still have some in the garage - stop by and get a sample to try! ;)

I believe it was my post about refinishing my cabin sole. I used a mix of gunstock (larger amount) and red mahogany -no specific ration. I mixed them in a glass jar until I got the right look after testing on some sanded teak and holly sole. However, you will probably have to by some 1/4 inch (I think it was) to mask the holly lines on unfinished teak and holly veneered sole to keep from staining the whiter holly a reddish brown. I'll see if I can find pictures of my finished sole.
