Looking to add a backstay tensioner and as I am looking at Sta-lok fittings I'm finding both 133-08-5/8 and 033-08-5/8 listed, both of which appear to be what I need, but I can't find anything that specifies the difference between the 033 and the 133. Anyone have that information?

I couldn't find the 133-08-⅝ model, but I did find a list of model numbers and specs. It appears the 133 series is Imperial and the 033 series is metric.

Thank you guys - I think you are correct, but I haven't seen 133-08 in any Sta-Lok literature - maybe this is old stock...

Interpreting the code using the 033-08-5/8 as an example. The 033 references metric or inch (imperial) wire. 8mm or 5/16 wire.

133-08-5/8 would there fore indicate that the unit was designed to handle metric wire. 8mm wire only.

The 5/8 is the diameter of the pin hole for linkage to a toggle.

I had not seen the chart you posted but reading this chart it looks as if the convention is "1" prefix is fraction size only where the "0" prefix is mm or mm/fraction.

To wrap up this thread - I had reached out to Sta-Lok through their web contact form just prior to posting here, inquiring about the two part numbers and asking if the current wedges will work in either part. Not really expecting a timely response from them, I was pleasantly surprised to find an email in my inbox this morning which in addition to being very prompt, provided a thorough and complete explanation to my question - copied here:

"We streamlined our part numbers because we just had too many of them doing the exactly the same job
The wedge (part number 126-08) used in the old part number 133-08-5/8 is exactly the same wedge that is used in the 033-08-5/8 as 5/16" & 8mm is exactly the same size."

Also appreciate the response from Dave here at SBO!
