I have a new 2002 Hunter 380 and I am looking for an autopilot. The new module based autolearn systems look good but I have not been able to find them. The Question is my Wheel has a shaft on the back of the wheel in the console for a chain drive rotary autopilot. Where can I get the sprockets and chain. Is this a package deal?

I have a Hunter 410. I think the wheel shaft is the same. I call Raytheon Customer Service and they tell me they have sproket kits for my kind of boat also they sold the kits to Hunter Marine.

The rotary drive units are not supplied with any of the chain and sprocket assemblies. With a rotary drive installation it is necessary to set up a proper reduction ratio so that the wheel will turn from lock to lock with the Rotary Drive motor running for 10 seconds. The rotary drive turns at 33 RPM or 5.5turns/10 sec. This equates to (5.5/Number of turns on your wheel from lock to lock) being your reduction ratio for the driven gear to the driver gear. The few Driver Gears we sell are listed below. Raymarine does have kits for some OEM packaging. I have no way of telling if they apply to older steering configurations. The ones we have listed for Hunter are below:NN-M3629 Stainless Steel Hunter Kit-3/16" to 1/8" stepped key-3/16" Half Moon Key-1/4" x 1/4" key-Master Links-10 tooth sprocket with 5/8" shaft size and 3/16" keyway-30 tooth sprocket with 5/8" shaft size with 3/16" and 1/4" keyway-5' of chain
