Do I lose my man card over this or get kudos for giving it a shot?

So I am in Bacon's in Annapolis looking through all the junk and I find what appears to be a brand new in the box ST50 remote. It says it does SeaTalk so I wire it up and it works. So now I have a wired remote.

For the man card vote, let me state in my defense I have wished a few times after a big storm and I am working my way through big debris fields on the river it would have been nice to stay at the bow and steer instead of having myself or the wife call out turns to the other at the wheel.

$35, a 3 wire installation inside my navpod and I am in business. :D

St50 Remote

Don't ya just love Bacons I never wanted to put a plug on here for them because this site sell's all the same stuff but whenever I'm in Maryland I make it a point to empty my wallet there

My C310 came with a remote from the PO. I have used it a couple dozen times. On those power sailing days I can go up and sit on the bow. When a lobster pot comes, I can use the remote to avoid them. I love it.

I have also used it sailing from the stern pulpit seats.

Thanks, Ray. Guess I'll keep my eyes open for the wired remote, maybe at a nautical consignment store.
