st4000/gps interface

I have installed a ST4000 plus on my hunter 30 and have wired a Germin 45 into the nmea as well as the 12 volt connection. I am looking for a good source of information as to how to transfer data from the GPS to the ST4000. Any help would be appreciated. Ken

Your gps should have a nmea out pos and neg.........connect them to the back of your 4000 where is says nmea pos and neg
