I have the chance to buy a used ray marine ST1000+ at a very decent price.
I don't know much about these units, what should I look at to be certain it's in decent condition?
are those units reliable and easy to use?
thanks
Fred

I just picked up one myself... (eBay)make sure you get the mounting pin and bracket... otherwise you will spend another $100 getting the parts you need to install it. Guess how I know

They work very well. I have used one on a Stiletto Catamaran quite a bit..

ouch, you weren't kidding about how pricey the parts are, I've just been quoted 84$ just for the plug, still waiting on the price for the fasteners, I'm starting to wonder if it's such a good deal

Shop around.... the prices vary a lot. I looked all over eBay, and then simply googled it and clicked the shopping link....

Or ask the person to remove the parts from the boat it is currently on.
