Looking for suggestions for a marina, campground or similar facility on west coast of FL (ST Pete south) where I can leave my 26' wb sailboat for a couple of months this winter. I'm not necessarily looking for slip space. Ideally I'd like to leave the boat on the trailer with the mast up when I'm not there. Then put her in the water when I'm down for a week or so. Dockage at that point would be nice, but not required. My marina in Annapolis has parking for trailer sailboats and a ramp. Thus, I can leave the mast up and put the boat in when I want to use it. I'm looking for a similar setup to escape to warmer climes for a week or so each of the winter months. In the alternative, I'd appreciate suggestions for storage lots with convenient overnight ramps where others here might leave their trailerable boats Any suggestions would be appreciated. You can email me offline at dcdon@hotmail.com too. Thanks.

If you are a member of a yacht club, you may want to see if you have reciprocity between your club and Davis Island yacht Club (www.diyc.org). There are many boats there, J's, Mumm's, etc. that are out of the water on trailers with the mast stepped. They have a 10,000 lift and a 7,000 lift as well as a launch ramp. Also, there is St. Pete Sailing Association and Tampa Bay Sailing Squadren, both of which have similar facilities. Check them out. If you need more info, my email is sailfl@tampabay.rr.com. BTW - I may be relocating to DC for a job in Herndon. Any recommendation for sailing there.
