60 degrees today, got the bottom painted. Going in next Friday on St Paddy Day. Break out the green beer. Some people think I'm nuts but there are some great winds here on Long Island Sound this time of the year. Just hope we don't get any late snow storms. We will!

If it snows switch to hooch!

Hey get an early jump on those less adventurous folks. Get a nice heater and appropriate clothing and go for it. The green beer don't do nothing for me but a good sail in brisk cold weather is PRICELESS.

Just stay in all year

That's why we don't pull our boat every year. There is just so much maintance you can do while on the hard that you can not do while in the water. The winter is a great time to sail in the Bay. LOTS of wind, I mean LOTS. Small craft warnings just about every week. Some times it even gets up to 45 deg. There is even the frostbight series of races. You don't have to be good to win one of these just tough as woodpecker lips.
