The wife and I are looking at a trip to St. Kitts. We have a great opportunity for a deal in lodging. Unfortunately there is no sailboat in the deal.

Anyone been to St. Kitts? Any recommendations on sights we must see, places to do some snorkeling?

The Marriott its popular. Take a ferry over to Nevis for an unspoiled look at the caribbean and stop by the four seasons for golf or a beverage.

Don't miss a trip to the fort (Ft Brimstone) on St. Kitts. Wonderful views of Sandy Point below and the history of the fort is amazing. Also the batik factory should not be missed. Beautiful gardens surround the batik factory as well. It's on the grounds of an old sugar cane mill.

sailed a 60' cat- sailed like a brick compared to my 30' Hunter.
Beautiful views and constant breeze. Harbor is small.

Have a great trip. $25.00 per person get out of town tax-cash at the airport, so hold back some money from the cacino's.

St Kitts is a much less developed island, very

condusive to the lay back, escape from civilization feeling. For those who desire shopping and/or vigorous night life it might be lacking. I agree that Brimstone Hill is a must see when visiting St Kitts. Ladies might really enjoy the batik factory which has some tasteful hand dyied batik items. Beer connoiseurs might enjoy the locally brewed Carib brand beer. I find that the Carib from St Kitts is noticably better than the more common Carib brewed in Trinidad. Dragon Stout is also good and is very smooth, more like a porter. Stout drinkers might be able to get Milk Stout made by Tennant in England, a favorite of locals. Tennant's Milk Stout is a real experience. It's got to be the stoutest stout on Earth.
