It is one of my favorite places to go. We often take our travel trailer and stay at Anastasia State Park. Have never sailed the area with Recess as the mooring fees have been more than our budget has for a week or two stay. Are there any reasonable places near by to moor, or even better, are there some good protected anchoring places near?

I have an Crusiing Guide that is dated 1990 for both the east coast and west coast of Florida that I will be reading further today. What is the best way to go from Jacksonville to St. Augustine for a sailboat?

hey man

i went from Jacksonville to st. Augustine using the ICW...and from ICW only i saw plenty of anchoring spots so you should be fine....i dont know about off shore plans n etc but from i saw in ICW...you are in good hands

We spend every other Christmas camping all over Florida and Anastasia State Park is one of my all time favorites, I noticed sailboats anchored in different areas on the bay side while going over the bridge

You can anchor right in front of downtown if you want to. By the Bridge of Lions and infront of the fort.
