St-40 Speed Paddle

I have a ST-40 thru hull speed instrument on my Hunter 25. The paddle seems to be getting more "gummed up" and doesn't make it totally through the summer season anymore. I clean it every winter haul out before relaunching. The boat is now 5 years old. (2005 model)
Question: Has anyone replaced the speed paddle on a ST-40? I haven't been able to locate just the (paddle) part, so I don't know if can be replaced. Also, I was wondering if someone has done it, is it worth the effort or shiould I just bite the bullet and replace the whole transducer? The other option is to send it to Raymarine, but it will probably cost as much as the part replacement.

Some seasons mine stops working after just one week in the water. Other seasons I can go all season and it never stops.
If it's like mine and marine growth is stopping it, replacing the paddle won't solve the problem. I find that I can reach it with my boat brush while swimming. I give the paddle a good scrub and it usually starts working again.

Pull the transducer and dip it in a cup of clorox for a minute. This will kill the growth. Put the transducer back in without scrubbing and the growth will fall off. This wont work with barnacle's but if you do this on a regular basis it works like a charm. I used to do this but later I removed the transducer between sails, this really worked well.

ST-40 paddle can be easily remove for cleaning by pushing out the pin just like what Ed said.

I guess I need to pull the transducer and inspect the pin and paddle.
