For those of you who have installed SSB radios, did you rig some kind of backstay for the antenna or did you install the large whip antenna?? We are having difficulty finding the right choice for our 380, and most of the installers we are dealing with seem to be coming up with solutions that seem to be forcefeeding the boat instead of complimenting it.thanks.

Third and fourth options

We did neither, but rather ran an additional cable parallel to the shrouds to act as the antenna. Other choice was to cut the existing shrouds and add isolators, but this would involve unstepping the mast and adding a few new "weak links" to the rigging. But maybe these are the solutions you were offered but didn't like???
