I am installing a new SSB fiberglass antenna and the only good spot is next to the Gps antenna. Will this be a problem? Thanks Mark

probably

It will not effect the HF antenna but when transmitting, that much RF in close proximity to the GPS antenna will overload the GPS receiver. It could result in nothing more than intermittent loss of signal but - unless someone knows for sure, you might want to check with the mfg of the GPS as it is conceivable you could cause damage to the GPS receiver because of the strong field induced in the amplifier.

No Problem

I have an insulated backstay used as a SSB antenna. The backstay runs within 2' of 2 separate GPS antennas which are mounted on a radar arch. No problems in 5+ years with either the SSB or the GPS receivers.
