I have a 1980 Catalina 22. I noticed that it has a "squishy" floor as you step into the cabin from the threashold. It appears to have moisture under the floor and the liner has become unlaminated. Has anyone had this same problem? What are the remedies? How soon does this need to be fixed? The boat is on a trailor now....... Thanks. Gregory

squish

hello gregory. i have a 1976 22. my squishing floor was in the area where the battery was kept next to the keel cable through hull. the water was entering from the lower rudder gudgeon attach point and then seeping through a small chip in the jellcoat. i had to use my 4in. grinder to remove the glass under the port side of the battery area to let the wood stiffener dry out.the boat had been out of the water for more than a year when i bought it so it seems that it could stay wet long enough to delaminate all the wood in the flooring.
