Easy to do
Buy a tube (not the spray, not the liquid) of SuperLube--the same thick teflon grease that was in the pump when it left the factory. Close the intake seacock and pump the head enough times to get all the water of it. Take the top off the pump and put a healthy squirt into the pump...pump a few times to spread it all over the inside of the cylinder. Put the top back on, open the seacock again...you're done. Takes all of 15 minutes and lasts a full year.
