Squeaky Hatch

New to us First 38 has a squeaky hatch cover unless it's raining! Have tried silicone spray and soap so far. Any ideas out there?

Actually it sounds more like a frog being murdered! My crew says it has to be fixed! If we stayed home on all the rainy days we would never see the boat!

what Teflon lubricant did you use?
The hatch on my 343 isn't too bad; however, I used to charter a 331 that had a horrendous ear piercing sound whenever sliding the hatch. Never have heard a frog being murdered; however, it couldn't be any worse than the 331 hatch!! It was so bad that you refrained from opening or closing the hatch unless it was absolutely necessary. I usually keep a spray can of Sail Kote dry lubricant on board. Wonder if that would help to lubricate the hatch seals without damage to the seals or acrylic hatch.

what Teflon lubricant did you use?

Captain Phab Dry Teflon Lubricant. Works great so far. (crossed fingers)
